Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is usually an aspiring journalist fresh out involving Northwestern University. Despite ridiculing the shallowness in the fashion industry, she lands the position "a million girls would eliminate for": junior personal assistant to help Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the actual icy editor-in-chief of Runway fashion magazine. Andy puts up with Miranda's bizarre and humiliating treatment assured of getting a job as being a reporter or writer somewhere more.
At first, Andy fumbles using her job and fits throughout poorly with her gossipy, fashion-conscious coworkers, specially Miranda's senior assistant Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt). However, with the help of fine art director Nigel (Stanley Tucci), which loans her designer clothes, the lady gradually learns her responsibilities as well as begins to dress more stylishly.
