Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) is usually a 16-year-old homeschooled daughter of zoologist parents (Ana Gasteyer and Neil Flynn). They have returned to america after a 12-year research getaway in Africa, settling in Evanston, Illinois and having Cady enroll in a public school for initially. New classmates Janis (Lizzy Caplan) and Damien (Daniel Franzese) warn Cady in order to avoid the school's most exclusive clique, the Plastics, who are led simply by queen bee Regina George (Rachel McAdams). The Plastics take a pursuit in Cady, however, and will invite her to sit with them at lunch. Seeing that Cady is slowly becoming on the list of Plastics, Janis hatches a plan of revenge against Regina, using Cady because the infiltrator.
Cady soon learns with regards to Regina's "Burn Book", a notebook filled up with rumors, secrets, and gossip about the other girls and some educators. Cady also falls in really like with Regina's ex-boyfriend, Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett), whom a jealous Regina steals back at a Halloween party. Cady continues with Janis's prefer to cut off Regina's "resources", which involve separating her from Aaron; tricking her into eating nutrition bars that leave her gain weight; and rotating Regina's fellow Plastics – unconfident rich girl Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert) and sweet but ditzy Karen Jones (Amanda Seyfried) – against the woman. In the process, Cady unwittingly remakes very little in Regina's image, becoming spiteful, shallow, and abandons Janis and Damian.
