Edge of Tomorrow (Release in June 6)
Director Doug Liman gets to toy with visual effects for the first time since Jumper (which has become a cult movie), and Tom Cruise knows the genre well by now - it has become his place of assured career longevity. This particular sci-fi Groundhog Day has more expectations that Source Code had on its shoulders, and the great reviews bode well for a huge worldwide embrace. More than anything we're happy for Emily Blunt, who is pretty much our favorite Hollywooder.
The Fault in Our Stars (Release in June 6)
While studios still mine young-adult literature offerings for potential movie franchises, it's worth noting the breathless anticipation for this adaptation of YouTube hero John Green's novel is, like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, set in the real world - miles away from effects-heavy dystopian societies. Of course it's a bit odd to say this as Shailene Woodley has just started filming the sequel to Divergent, but we're happy to see that she already has career options. We're curious as to director Josh Boone's next move; his earlier movie, Stuck in Love, is still finding its audience, too.
22 Jump Street (Release in June 13)
So, it turns out that for all of Charming Tatum's talent and musculature, his career stabilizer will be the sequel to an unexpected hit (The Lego Movie doesn't count - voice roles never do). And not to compare them directly, but it's cool to live in a moment where Jonah Hill is the bigger movie star. More than anything, we're curious as to how you come close to matching the surprise factor and luring an audience for a second go-round, even with all the key players back in place.

Carly (Cameron Diaz) has just started a relationship with Mark (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), a man she hooked up with eight weeks prior. She is upset when Mark suddenly tells her he has to go out of town, but decides to go over to his house per advice from her father Frank (Don Johnson). Intending to seduce him while wearing a sexy outfit, she is horrified to meet Kate (Leslie Mann), who introduces herself as Mark's wife. Despite the problems, the two women end up bonding and forming an unlikely friendship.
